Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of Holy Ore (the game and this website). By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
Free, with no money involved
This game is a non-commercial hobby project. It is free to play and will stay free. There are no ads, no purchases, no subscriptions, no paid upgrades and no sponsorships, and we don't sell or rent anyone's data. Nothing in the game can be bought, sold or exchanged for money, including avatars, achievements, scores and unlocks, and none of them has any real-world value.
The game
Holy Ore is a game made for fun. Prompts, answer lists and rarity scores are estimates built from public data and player answers. They can be wrong or incomplete, and we may change, fix or remove prompts, answers, scores or unlocks at any time.
Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to play or to create an account.
Accounts
Accounts are optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in details to yourself and pick a miner name that isn't offensive, misleading or someone else's identity. We may change or remove a miner name, or close an account, if it breaks these terms. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your answers
When you submit an answer, you let us store it, count it and show it to other players as part of the game's answer statistics, without your player ID or account. Don't type personal information (yours or anyone else's) or anything hateful, harassing or illegal into the game. We may remove any answer at our discretion.
Fair play
Please don't:
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to play or to submit answers;
- try to manipulate answer counts, rankings or rarity scores, or use more than one account to do so;
- flood the game with requests, probe it for vulnerabilities, or try to get around rate limits or other protections;
- copy or scrape the answer lists or artwork for use elsewhere.
We may block access for anyone who does these things.
Ownership
The Holy Ore name, artwork, design and code belong to the game's operator. Prompts may mention companies, products, people or works owned by others. Those names belong to their owners, and their appearance here doesn't mean they sponsor or endorse this game. Answer lists are built partly from Wikidata (CC0) and Wikipedia pageview statistics.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise that it will always be available, accurate or free of errors, or that your progress will never be lost.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the game. Because the game is free and makes no money, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to zero dollars, or the smallest amount the law permits.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.
